Symptoms

无法登录 AVI（https：NVE_hostname/avi） 执行 NVE 服务器的软件版本或安全更新。

AVI 网页登录尝试会显示以下错误：

  • avi-cli 命令无法运行，并且不能用于执行升级，如下例所示：
nve:~ # avi-cli  --listrepository
Enter server password:

  • 使用以下“chage”命令确认 Root 密码正确且未过期：
nve:~ # chage -l root
Last password change : Feb 24, 2023
Password expires : never
Password inactive : never

Number of days of warning before password expires : 7
  • 为 AVI 用户运行“chage”命令会引发错误或无法登录：
nve:~ # sudo -u avi sudo -A /usr/local/avamar/lib/avi/avi_secure.sh -chage

Cause

NVE 配置了非英语区域设置自定义，虽然可以使用相同的密码登录和管理 NVE 操作系统，但不允许对 AVI 进行密码授权。在上面的命令输出片段中，NVE 语言设置为德语。

Resolution

  1. 修改 NVE 上的 /etc/sysconfig/language 文件，通过设置变量来强制执行英语区域设置 
RC_LC_ALL=en_US
  1. 修改后需要重新启动 NVE，以便更改生效。
 
提醒：在 NVE 上设置非英语区域设置时，AVI 网页通常会在标题中显示“Avamar Installation Manager”以及 Avamar 版本。当区域设置更改回英语并且 avi 按预期工作时，此选项将更改为“NetWorker Installation Manager”。
