Symptoms
The operation fails with the following error in the job details when attempting to create a new share from a NetApp snapshot:"Unable to send request: URL using bad/illegal format or missing URL (URL rejected: Malformed input to a URL function)"
Selecting the "Export Log" for a failed NAS job, a log entry similar to the following can be seen in the compressed log files:

The issue occurs when PPDM requests a new share from a NetApp snapshot with special characters in its file system path.
Resolution
Upgrade PPDM to version 19.21 or higher.
