Symptoms

There is an issue with the NetWorker module for Microsoft installation or upgrade in the following environment.

  • NetWorker Server v8.2.3.8
  • NetWorker Client v8.2.1.7 upgrade 8.2.4.4, and later upgrade to 9.1.0.5. (Client + NMM)

Cause

Due product installation change in NetWorker 9.X the NetWorker Extended client installation is required before NetWorker Module for Microsoft installation and configuration.

Resolution

PROCEDURE:

  • Uninstall NMM + NetWorker client 8.2.4.X from SQL node
  • Install the NetWorker client + NetWorker Extended package.
