The firmware update works only on the USB dongle that ships with the Dell Wireless Keyboard and Mouse KM636 model. The firmware update fails when used on the USB dongle of a different wireless keyboard and mouse.

  1. Browse to the Dell Wireless Keyboard and Mouse KM636 Drivers & Downloads page.
  2. Select the Operating System.
  3. Locate the latest Dell Universal receiver firmware updater.
  4. Click Download and save the file to your computer.
  5. Open File Explorer and browse to the location where the downloaded file is saved.
  6. Double-click the firmware updater and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
