Users have reported intermittent issues with the touchpad. They advised that the lower left and lower right corners, as well as the left, right, and top edges of the touchpad do not work.
For ease of use and to prevent an accidental touch on the touchpad, we defined the palm rejection area as:
- 8.2 mm (0.32 inches) in width at the edge of the touchpad
- 1 cm (0.39 inches) x 1 cm (0.39 inches) at the bottom-right and bottom-left corner of the touchpad (The red box in figure.1)
We defined the lower right of the touchpad as the right-click area (The red dotted box in figure 1).
This functions as the traditional right-click button (the rest of the touchpad area responds as the left click).

Improvements to how the touchpad works
Our engineering team has released a new firmware update that makes the touchpad easier to use.
After installing the touchpad update firmware, you will see the following changes to how your touchpad works:
- The update has removed the palmrest rejection area at 1 cm (0.39 inches) x 1 cm (0.39 inches) of lower left and lower right corners. This area is now clickable.
