Dell desktop computer user may experience that the monitor does not display video when the computer resumes from sleep mode or modern standby when a DisplayPort to HDMI dongle is used between computer with monitor.
Cause
The Intel Graphic firmware does not handle the dongle signal transition.
Resolution
Do not dispatch any hardware for this issue.
Dell is aware of this issue, and a fix is incorporated into the following BIOS:
- Precision 3260 BIOS v1.4.2 or later
- Precision 3460 BIOS v1.4.2 or later
- OptiPlex 7000 BIOS v1.6.1 or later
- OptiPlex 5000 BIOS v1.6.0 or later
- OptiPlex 3000 BIOS v1.6.1 or later
- OptiPlex XE4 BIOS v1.6.1 or later
- Vostro 3710 BIOS v1.6.1 or later
- Vostro 3910 BIOS v1.6.1 or later
- Inspiron 3910 BIOS v1.6.1 or later
