No Video on Dell P3221D Monitors Connected to Latitude xx20

Symptoms

You may experience a failure to display issue with no video seen on-screen. This is when you connect your Dell P3221D monitor through a USB Type-C cable to your Latitude xx20 laptop.

Note: There is no problem with charging the laptop.

Cause

The rx setting on the scaler is Incompatible.

Resolution

Improved Dell Power Button Sync (DPBS) On-Screen Display (OSD) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) flow-power has been added to a new firmware.

Update the Dell P3221D Monitor Firmware to Windows OS Firmware Update Package (M2T102) for P3221D monitor, version M2T102 or later. To download and install the Dell_MonitorFirmwareUpdateUtility_P3221D_M2T102.zip see:

Updating to the latest firmware resolves the issue.
