Cause
A bad NIC status on one of the Hosts in the cluster that is added causes this error.
It could be either the physical NIC is Down or the link speed of the NIC is not matching with other NICs on the host.
Resolution
To resolve this issue:
Identify the reported host and the physical NIC from the domainmanager log file.
Check the Physical NIC status and link speed. If the port is Down or the link speed is not correct, then perform the below steps one by one until the issue is resolved:
- Try reseating the network cable.
- Validate the switch port configuration.
- Swap the Network cable with a known good one.
- Reboot the host and check vmnic status.
Once the Physical NIC status is good then:
- Retry failed workload domain cluster Add task on SDDC manager.
