PowerProtect Data Manager SQL FCI Full Backups Complete with Exceptions; T-LOG and Differential Backups Fail

Symptoms

The backup of SQL FCI cluster completes with exceptions. PowerProtect Data Manager does not discover the copy.

The following error is seen in adm.log (/var/log/brs/adm/adm*): 
ERROR [] [monitorActorSystem-akka.actor.default-dispatcher-127] [00000000-0000-4000-a000-000000000000][][][TRACE_ID:be9368804c60df6d;EXEC_ID:9b865b82960ffd3b][] [c.e.d.e.a.s.h.BackupCopyHelper.lambda$4(257)] -  Unable to find data source with natural id: [R01xxxxx, R00xxxxx] for processing copy: [R01xxxxx]. This may happen if the data source was deleted/GCed in ES.

Cause

PowerProtect Data Manager internal database representation of the SQL FCI databases contains unsupported unique identifiers.

Resolution

Contact Dell PowerProtect Data Manager support to clean up and fix the internal database.
