Remove
the cooling shroud.
Steps
Align the standoffs on the processor blank
and DIMM blank with the heat sink retention sockets on the processor
socket.
Lower the processor blank and DIMM blank onto
the system until the standoffs on the processor blank and DIMM blank
engage with the heat sink retention sockets.

that you install a processor blank and DIMM blank when you have removed
a processor permanently.
