Removing the cable routing clip

Prerequisites

CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that are shipped with your product.

  1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
  2. Follow the procedure listed in before working inside your system.
  3. Disconnect and remove the cables routed through the cable routing clip.
  4. Keep the Phillips #2 screwdriver ready.

Steps

  1. Remove the screws securing the cable routing clip to the system board.
  2. Lift the cable routing clip away from the system board.
