Command conventions

CRCLI commands have both required and optional parameters.

This document uses the following conventions:

Table 1. CRCLI conventionsThe two-column table lists the topographical conventions in the first column and their descriptions in the second column.
Convention Description
<> Angle brackets ( <> ) list argument variables.
{ } Braces ( { } ) indicate a series of options for parameter values, from which you must choose one.
[ ] Square brackets ( [ ] ) indicate optional parameters.
| A pipe ( | ) separate items in a series of options (arguments or argument values). Select one option.
