Viewing a Capacity report

View Capacity reports to see the estimate of when the cluster reaches capacity.

  1. Click File System Reporting > Capacity Reporting.
  2. In the Cluster list, select the cluster that you want to view capacity information for.
  3. Click View Report.
  4. Optional: From the Overhead estimation based on FSA report list, select the date of the File System Analytics report that you want to use as a basis for the Overhead Protection Estimation.
    The framed control above the Capacity Forecast report module is the Date Range control.
  5. Optional: To configure the dates in the Capacity Forecast report module, in the Date Range control, specify a period and then click View Report.

    The Zoom Slider is below the Capacity Forecast drop down control. The Zoom Slider shows a graph in light gray that represents the percentage of the total disk capacity in use over time for the date range that you typed in the Date Range control.

  6. To calculate a Capacity Forecast, define a subset of data in the Zoom Slider by clicking and dragging the Zoom Slider handles.
    The chart that is displayed in the Capacity Forecast report module is the Capacity Forecast chart. The Capacity Forecast chart shows a line graph of the data selected with the Zoom Slider handles.
  7. To analyze a Calculation Range, drag on a region of the Capacity Forecast chart.
    A light yellow highlight in the Capacity Forecast chart indicates the Calculation Range.
Text below the Capacity Forecast chart provides a projected date when the cluster reaches critical capacity as well as details about the regression calculation.
