Table 1. Details of setled attributeThe following table provides the details of setled attribute:
Description Sets the state (blinking or not blinking) of the LED on the specified module.

To blink or unblink the chassis, I/O modules or the CMC, you must have the Debug Administrator privilege. To enable the servers to blink or unblink, you must have the Server Administrator or the Debug Administrator privilege.

To run this subcommand, you must have the Configure iDRAC permission.

Synopsis
racadm setled -l <ledState>
racadm setled -m <module> -l <ledState>
Input
  • -m <module> — Specifies the module whose LED you want to configure.

    <module> can be one of the following:

    • server–<n>, where n=1–16
    • server–<nx>, where n=1–8; x = a, b, c, d (lower case)
    • switch–<n>, where n=1–6
    • cmc-active
    • chassis
  • -l <ledState> — Specifies the LED state. The values are:

    • 0 — No Blinking

    • 1 — Blinking

Example
  • racadm setled -m chassis -l 1
    
    Sets LED state on Chassis to Blink
  • racadm setled -m server-1 -1 1
    LED state was set successfully.
  • racadm setled -m server-9 -1 1 
    ERROR: Server in slot 9 is an extension of the server in slot 1.

NOTE: : The setled command generates an error when run on the extension slot of a multi-slot server.

  • From iDRAC stop LED from blinking.
    racadm setled -l 0
    RAC0908: System ID LED blink off.
  • From iDRAC start LED to blink.
    racadm setled -l 1
    RAC0907: System ID LED blink on.
