Advanced ECC (Erweiterter ECC)

Im Modus „Advanced Error Correction Code (ECC)“ (Erweiterter ECC) wird SDDC nicht mehr nur auf DIMMs mit x4-DRAM angewendet, sondern sowohl auf DIMMs mit x4-DRAM als auch auf DIMMs mit x8-DRAM. Das gewährleistet eine Absicherung gegen Ausfälle einzelner DRAM-Chips im Normalbetrieb.

Die Installationsrichtlinien für Speichermodule lauten wie folgt:
  • Alle Speichermodule müssen hinsichtlich Größe, Geschwindigkeit und Technologie identisch sein.
  • Alle DIMMs, die in Speichersockeln mit weißen Freigabelaschen installiert sind, müssen identisch sein. Die gleiche Regel gilt für Sockel mit schwarzen Freigabelaschen. Dadurch wird gewährleistet, dass identische DIMMs in zusammenpassenden Paaren installiert werden, z. B. A1 mit A2, A3 mit A4, A5 mit A6 usw.
