Understanding PowerMax software system profiles and compliance
A PowerMax software system profile is a subset of system settings that are associated with at least one storage system (array). The settings are defined once as part of a system profile, and these settings can be applied to one or more storage systems.
This feature supports the creation of a software profile that can be applied to one or more storage systems running
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) that are local to the managing Unisphere for PowerMax. The profile covers a number of alert and performance settings. The compliance part of the feature relates to monitoring of changes, that occur within a certain user-specified time window, to any local storage system (running
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)) that is part of a profile.
The Unisphere UI supports the following operations (on storage systems running
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)):
View the system profiles dashboard.
Create, modify, and delete system profiles.
Apply a system profile.
Add storage system to a profile.
View compliance statu.s
Create, modify, and delete change control window.
View audit log records for changes outside the change control window.
Import, export, and clone a change control window.
