1 If both arrays are running HYPERMAX OS
or
PowerMaxOS 5978, up to 250 SRDF groups can be defined across all the ports on a specific SRDF director, or up to 250 SRDF groups can be defined on one port on a specific SRDF director.
2 A port on the array running HYPERMAX OS or
PowerMaxOS 5978 connected to an array running Enginuity 5876 supports a maximum of 64 SRDF groups. The director on the HYPERMAX OS or
PowerMaxOS side that is associated with that port supports a maximum of 186 (250 – 64) SRDF groups.
3 If both arrays are running HYPERMAX OS or
PowerMaxOS 5978, up to 250 SRDF groups can be defined across all the ports on a specific SRDF director, or up to 250 SRDF groups can be defined on one port on a specific SRDF director.
4 A port on the array running HYPERMAX OS or
PowerMaxOS 5978 connected to an array running Enginuity 5876 supports a maximum of 64 SRDF groups. The director on the HYPERMAX OS or
PowerMaxOS side that is associated with that port supports a maximum of 186 (250 – 64) SRDF groups.
5 If both arrays are running
PowerMaxOS 10 (6079) up to 2 K SRDF groups can be defined across all the ports on a specific SRDF director or up to 2K SRDF groups can be define on one port on a specific SRDF director.
6 A port on the array running connected to an array running
HYPERMAX OS 5977 or
PowerMaxOS 5978 supports a maximum of 250 SRDF groups. The director on the side that is associated with that port supports a maximum of 1798 (2048 - 250)v SRDF groups.
7 32 Gb fibre channel port support was added with PowerMaxOS 5978.479.479 for PowerMax 8000 / 2000 systems and can negotiate down two levels. A 32 Gb/s port can run at 16 Gb/s or 8 Gb/s, a 16 Gb/s port can run at 8 Gb/s or 4 Gb/s.
