The following demonstrates the life cycle of an SRDF/Metro configuration in relation to the life cycle of an application:
Allocate devices for the application on two arrays, turn those devices into an SRDF/Metro configuration, and activate the configuration.
As the storage needs of the application change, add devices to and remove them from the SRDF/Metro configuration.
When the application reaches the end of its life, the SRDF/Metro configuration becomes obsolete and is dismantled.
