Removing the power-adapter port

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the SD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the heat-sink assembly.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the power-adapter cable from the connector on the system board.
  2. Peel and unroute the display cable from the route to access the power-adapter port slot.
  3. Remove the (M2x3) screw that secures power-adapter port bracket.
  4. Remove the power-adapter port bracket from the computer.
  5. Unroute the power-adapter cable from the cut-out on the system board and lift the cable clamp from the computer chassis.
  6. Slide the power-adapter port towards the rear side of the computer to remove the power-adapter port from its compartment on the computer chassis.
