Rename a Server
A server object can be renamed at any time, and the name does not need to match the host name or IP address of the server.
Steps
- If the Dell Storage Manager Client is connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the Storage view.
- From the
STORAGE menu, click
Servers.
The Servers view is displayed. - Click the Storage tab.
- Select the server in the Storage tab navigation pane.
- In the right pane, click Edit Settings. The Edit Server Settings dialog box opens.
- Type a name for the server in the Name field.
- Click OK.
