Unmap a Volume from a Server
Unmap a volume from a server if the server no longer needs to access the volume.
Steps
- If the Dell Storage Manager Client is connected to a Data Collector, select a Storage Center from the Storage view.
- Click the Storage tab.
- In the Storage tab navigation pane, select the volume you want to unmap from a server.

In the right pane, click Remove Mappings.
The Remove Mappings dialog box opens.
- Select the server(s) to unmap from the volume, then click OK. If the volume is the destination of a replication and you selected the mapping to the source Storage Center, a confirmation dialog box appears.

If a confirmation dialog box appears:
- Click OK to remove the mapping to the source Storage Center, which might interfere with the replication.
- Click Cancel to keep the mapping to the source Storage Center.
