Removing the battery
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the 2230 solid-state drive. (if applicable)
- Remove the 2280 solid-state drive. (if applicable)

Steps
- Ensure that the battery cable has been disconnected from the system board.
- Remove the six screws (M2x4.5) that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.
- Remove the battery from the palm-rest assembly.
