Removing the speakers
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
- Remove the 2230 solid-state drive. (if applicable)
- Remove the 2280 solid-state drive. (if applicable)
- Remove the battery.

Steps
- Disconnect the speaker cable from the right I/O-board.
- Lift the right speaker off the palm-rest assembly.
- Remove the speaker cables from the routing guides on the palm-rest assembly.
- Lift the left speaker off the palm-rest assembly.
