Gaurav Chawla

Gaurav Chawla is a Dell Technologies Fellow and Vice President in the ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) Chief Technology Office. Gaurav has 30+ years of experience in the technology industry and has been with Dell since 2005. He is responsible for new technology explorations, strategy and architecture, at the intersection of Generative AI, Storage and Data Management. He leads the technology and architecture for Dell AI Data Platform and also deeply involved in Dell’s agentic transformation journey.
He has lent his expertise to Dell’s work in 5G, edge computing, blockchain, disaggregated aaS infrastructure design, storage fabrics, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), enterprise storage/SDS, HPC and hardware acceleration technologies.
Gaurav has contributed to multiple industry consortiums and open-source projects including Linux Foundation OpenDaylight SDN Project, OpenFog Consortium, T11 FC/FCoE, IEEE DCB (Data Center Bridging), SNIA CDMI standard and open-source network operating systems.
He has B.S and M.S in Computer Engineering and holds 270+ granted and pending patents.
