Dell Technologies just announced its Q4 and full fiscal 2022 financial results and I’m excited to say that FY22 was the best year in our company’s history. I’d like to thank our customers and partners who trusted us with their business throughout the year. We reached more than $100 billion in revenue and grew 17% year over year – a huge achievement in this dynamic market.
As I talk to customers and partners, nearly all say IT investment remains their top priority. This is no surprise. Because, today, technology is the business. Technology is how you turn data into action and into better customer experiences. It’s how organizations create a competitive advantage and edge. I’d like to highlight how we helped some of our amazing customers get an edge this quarter.
Munich Re, a leading global provider of reinsurance based in Germany, is working with Dell Technologies and VMware to adopt a multi-cloud architecture that helps transform the company’s approach to global IT operations. Using Dell VxRail systems with VMware Cloud Foundation, Munich Re can offer a consistent customer experience across cloud environments.
The National Football League’s Miami Dolphins deployed Dell Technologies infrastructure to help enhance fan engagement, safety and security for their Hard Rock Stadium events. By extending the use of its data storage system with Dell Technologies, the NFL franchise generated $1.2 million in savings and reduced duplicate systems and space needed to house its technology.
Dell partnered with AT&T to power the telecom giant’s Connected Learning Centers with Dell OptiPlex computers and Dell monitors. These feature integrated audio and webcams to support virtual learning. AT&T’s learning centers are housed within local organizations that support under-resourced populations, including some of our nation’s most vulnerable students and families.
As part of its data center modernization, India’s woodwork giant Greenpanel selected Dell Technologies VxRail hyperconverged infrastructure to optimize manufacturing and business operations. With the competitive wood panels industry growing 10-12% annually, Greenpanel is adopting new technologies like VxRail that can help drive customer-centric product innovation.
Across the globe, our industry-leading 5G and OpenRAN solutions have helped advance 5G with telecommunications companies.
Vodafone, the leading telecommunications company in Europe and Africa, switched on the UK’s first 5G OpenRAN site with the help of Dell Technologies and other suppliers. This was an important step to accelerate the development of the OpenRAN ecosystem in the U.K.
International telecommunications company Ooredoo, based in Qatar, recently expanded its collaboration with Dell Technologies, adding new infrastructure, storage and cyberrecovery solutions to support its 5G offerings, deliver digital innovation and accelerate new services to market. With new solutions from Dell, Ooredoo has been able to stand up a fully integrated, enterprise-class architecture and increase service levels to its corporate customers.
Rogers Business, part of Rogers Communications, worked with Dell Technologies to deploy a 5G wireless private network (WPN) to Kirkland Lake Gold’s Detour Lake Mine, the second-largest gold producing mine in Canada. Using Dell’s edge infrastructure, including VxRail systems, cloud data protection and PowerSwitch networking, in combination with other key technology and infrastructure partners, Rogers Business delivers better connectivity, communication and safety to Kirkland Lake Gold while scaling a network that powers thousands of new solutions.
FY2022 was an amazing year for Dell Technologies. We are helping our customers and partners successfully navigate this dynamic-global-market together.
