Three-for-One: Dell World, Training and Certification

Without a skilled workforce and competent expertise, your innovation readiness will be restrained. To test this thesis, Dell Education Services researched the impact that technical training from Dell has had on individuals and their employers.

The results highlighted important trends:

  1. a growing need for technical education in support of business innovation across industry, size, and sectors
  2. cloud, storage and networking training are top choices, and
  3. training delivery preferences are changing.

To address these trends, I’m pleased to announce that we’re adding the Dell Learning Institute — an in-depth, hands-on educational component — to our annual Dell World in Austin, October 18-20, 2016. This is an exclusive opportunity to attend training and complete certification exams for Dell SC and PS Series Storage, Dell Networking, Dell PowerEdge Servers and Dell Converged Solutions.

These courses are typically offered as virtual instructor-led training so this is a chance for IT professionals and channel partners to get your entire team trained in an engaging face-to-face atmosphere, earn critical certifications and attend all the Dell World activities – a three-for-one opportunity!

“CIOs are telling us they are struggling to execute on their priorities, and falling further behind, in the absence of critical skills,” Denis Berry, the principal leading KPMG’s CIO Advisory Practice in the U.S., recently said in CIO.

Our research has shown training has a positive effect on employee morale –  58 percent of respondents said that our training has encouraged them to remain at their jobs for longer, and 95 percent of those who have taken Dell training are more likely to encourage others to take it, which can help further boost skills levels. In addition, Dell's top 100 North American partners by training investment grew their revenue 29 percent year-over-year.

The rate for the Dell Learning Institute is $1,195 and includes:

  • Admission to Dell World
  • 2-day technical training prior to the show
  • Certification track breakout sessions that provide bite-sized training on best practices to deploy and manage Dell hardware by track
  • Guided self-paced labs to practice configuration and management scenarios with access to technology subject matter experts to answer questions
  • Free first attempt on all available exams1

This multi-faceted learning experience is delivered by Dell technical experts, engineers and the innovators behind new technology – at a fraction of the cost of the full curriculum.
