  • You are not able to restore NAS files from the original location to an alternate location.
  • Getting error message NAS agent error code 'ARF0007'.

Cause

The hybrid/multi-protocol share (SMB/NFS) restores for alternate (non-direct) restores is not supported by PPDM 19.18 at this time.

Resolution

The hybrid share (SMB/NFS) restores for alternate (non-direct) restores is not supported by PPDM 19.18 at this time.

Restore to the original location or to an alternate location, as long as the "Directly copy the files at the destination" option is selected.

Selecting the Direct Copy option allowed the restore to work, as it does not have to create a new directory and the associated permissions problem with multi-protocol.
