Symptoms

Symptoms are observed when a Linux file system backup does not complete successfully. 

  • Backup job returns error ABF0001 "Backup statistics are not generated due to an internal error."Screenshot of the ABF0001 error
  • The ddfssv command crashes with a fatal signal 11.

  • Using the --nouserinfo option does not resolve the backup failure.

Cause

Root cause is still unknown.

Historical escalations (PPDMESC‑8174, PPDMESC‑8927, PPDMESC‑11002) were resolved by upgrading the client to version 19.18 or later.

Resolution

Recommendation：

Upgrade client to version 19.18 or later.

Note: If the problem persists after upgrading to version 19.18 or later, contact Dell Support with the client logs for further analysis.
