Issue: 
How to collect technical support information from Sannav
Sannav collect logs.


From the SANnav Management Portal:

  1. Click the Settings icon > Services > SANnav Support Data Collection.
  2. Click the Generate button.
    • The Generate Support Save dialog box displays.
  3. Select one of the following radio-button options (for technical support the "full" button) and click OK. Generate Support  
  4. Support Data Collection takes some time to generate. The files generated are listed under Generated Support Data
    Files in the Support Data Collection page.
    1. NOTE: The Generate button is in a disabled state while support data collection is in progress.
  5. The support data collection files can be downloaded from the  same SANnav Support Data Collection page.
    1. Select the file to download and click the download button.
    2.  Generate Support Data


From the SANnav server until 2.1.0 via the CLI:
1. Change directory to the supportsave directory in the install directory:

[root@vm3124 bin]# ls
addLdapServer  FilesMerger.sh                 migrate                  replace-kafka-certificates.sh  stop-server.sh
backuprestore  FileSplitter.sh                push-images.sh           replace-server-cert.sh         supportsave
dbsql          install-multi-node-server.sh   readme_FilesMerger.txt   restart-server.sh              tools
diag           install-single-node-server.sh  readme_FileSplitter.txt  start-server.sh                uninstall-server.sh
[root@vm3124 bin]# ls supportsave
corebackup  eventsbackup    gatherhostinfoinit  gatherthreaddumps  supportsave
dbsummary   gatherhostinfo  gatherlogs          historicalbackup
[root@vm3124 bin]#

2. run the supportsave script. (Note to collect the Logs and Database for technical troubleshooting.)
Example:
[root@vm3124 supportsave]# ./supportsave
*********************************************************************************************
********************************** Support Data CLI *****************************************
*********************************************************************************************
1) Logs Only
2) Logs and Database
3) Exit
#? 2
SupportSave triggered to collect Logs and Database



3. The supportsave *.zip file will be in the supportsave directory, situated under the install directory
Example:

/SANnav/Portal_1.1.1_rc_bld51/supportsave

[root@vm3124 supportsave]# ls
temp  vm3124.gslabs.lab.emc.com-Full-03-27-2019-08-13-45.zip  vm3124.gslabs.lab.emc.com-MP-Full-03-27-2019-08-27-22.zip


Note: Once the support data collection is finished the file will also show up on the SANnav Management portal.

4. The file or files can then be copied of the server. (For example with ftp or with WinSCP.)
