Symptoms

  • Está intentando restaurar un respaldo de VM completado con el dispositivo vProxy NVP.
  • Durante la restauración, se observa la siguiente falla en el registro de la sesión de recuperación:

  • Los informes /opt/emc/vproxy/runtime/logs/coverd/covercoverd-vddk.log de vProxy:
YYYY-MM-DDT16:51:18Z NOTICE: VDDK INFO VixDiskLib: VixDiskLib_Write: Write 2048 sectors to disk at 1358354432 failed. Error 7 (A file access error occurred on the host or guest operating system) (DiskLib error 327689: Input/output error) at 6296.
  • Para habilitar la depuración de VDDK, modifique los vProxies /opt/emc/vproxy/conf/VixDiskLib.config para que contengan ("vixDiskLib.transport.LogLevel = 6")

Cause

El error 7 de VDDK proviene de la API de VMware VIX. No hay suficiente espacio en el almacén de datos de destino seleccionado durante la restauración para restaurar la VM.

Resolution

Confirme que haya suficiente espacio en el almacén de datos seleccionado para la restauración de destino. Esto se puede comprobar desde VMware vSphere Client.
