Symptoms

  • Si sta tentando di ripristinare un backup di VM completato con l'appliance NVP vProxy.
  • Durante il ripristino, viene osservato il seguente errore nel log della sessione di ripristino:

  • I report vProxy /opt/emc/vproxy/runtime/logs/vrecoverd/vrecoverd-vddk.log:
YYYY-MM-DDT16:51:18Z NOTICE: VDDK INFO VixDiskLib: VixDiskLib_Write: Write 2048 sectors to disk at 1358354432 failed. Error 7 (A file access error occurred on the host or guest operating system) (DiskLib error 327689: Input/output error) at 6296.
  • Per abilitare il debug VDDK, modificare i vProxies /opt/emc/vproxy/conf/VixDiskLib.config in modo che contengano ("vixDiskLib.transport.LogLevel = 6")

Cause

L'errore VDDK 7 proviene dall'API VMware VIX. Non c'è spazio sufficiente nel datastore di destinazione selezionato durante il ripristino per ripristinare la VM.

Resolution

Verificare che vi sia spazio sufficiente nel datastore selezionato per il ripristino di destinazione. Questa operazione può essere controllata dal client VMware vSphere.
