Symptoms

The externally plugged in mouse does not function when resuming from Modern Standby/S4 unless refreshed in Device Manager.

Affected Platforms:

  •  Dell Pro Micro QCM1255
  • Dell Pro Slim QCS1255
  • Dell Pro Tower QCT1255

Cause

This is due to a BIOS coding issue.

Resolution

Updating to 1.0.4 or later on the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the BIOS, refer to the Dell BIOS and UEFI Update Download and Installation Guide.
