Assign a vSAN license to your VxRail cluster

Replace the temporary evaluation license using the VMware vSphere Web Client.

Prerequisites

Combine or split your VMware vSphere license.

Steps

  1. Log in to the VMware vSphere Web Client with Global.Licenses privileges.
  2. Click the Inventory icon.
  3. Right-click the cluster for the license and select Assign vSAN Cluster License.
  4. Click New Licenses.
  5. Enter your product license key, one license per line, and click Next.
    You can optionally add a label to the license and click Next.
  6. Review the details and click Finish.
