Verify password compliance

Assign account passwords to manage your VxRail cluster during deployment.

The following accounts require credentials to manage your VxRail cluster:

• VxRail Manager root
• VMware vCenter Server
  • administrator@vsphere.local
  • root account
  • Management account
  CAUTION:Create a maximum of one account per cluster for the VMware vCenter Server management account. Do not use shared accounts.
• VMware ESXi hosts root accounts

Invalid characters may cause the build to fail which requires you to image the nodes again.

Adhere to the following VMware vSphere complexity rules for passwords:

• Between eight and 20 characters
• At least one lowercase letter
• At least one uppercase letter
• At least one numeric character
• At least one special character
• Avoid using the following special characters: / ? ; , . | \ ' " & $ = ` < #
