The following tasks are required for a high-level overview of VxRail self-deployment.
Self-deployment is available for AMD-based and Intel-based models. VxRail nodes must be running a minimum VxRail software version of 7.0.410. You can self-deploy VxRail version 7.0.420. It supports 2-node clusters, and VxRail-supplied witness feature.
For VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), 2-node clusters, dynamic nodes, and stretched clusters, contact your Dell account team or reseller for deployment by Dell certified technicians.
You can repurpose supported nodes that are already deployed in a cluster using the node image management tool with a supported version. You can then self-deploy the reimaged nodes into a new cluster.
