Prepare for VMware licensing

VxRail contains preinstalled, temporary VMware vSphere and VMware vSAN evaluation licenses that expire after 60 days. These licenses must be replaced with new licenses or existing ones to continue to use VMware vSphere or VMware vSAN.

Every VxRail cluster requires VMware licensing. Contact your Dell Technologies account team for available options to procure VxRail licenses.

Go to VxRail Manager for instructions on how to set up your licenses using APEX AIOps Infrastructure Observability.

NOTE:You do not need a VMware vSAN license to use dynamic node clusters or satellite nodes.
