Configure DNS

DNS services are required for VxRail. You can use the internal DNS included with your VxRail cluster, or an external DNS in your data center.

If you use the internal DNS, VxRail automatically configures it during cluster deployment.

If you use an external DNS, verify that it contains forward and reverse lookup records for all VxRail management components, including:

• VxRail Manager
• VMware vCenter Server
• VMware ESXi management interfaces
• Secure connect gateway, if used

Verify both forward and reverse lookup for the IP address and FQDN.
