More actions for pre-scripts and post-scripts

The PowerProtect Data Manager UI also provides the options to edit, delete, and download a pre-script or post-script. Only an administrator can access the edit and delete options.

Edit a pre-script or post-script

To edit a script, perform the following steps.

  1. In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, select Protection > Scripts.

    The Scripts page appears.

  2. Select the script, and then click Edit.
  3. On the Edit Script page, the Name, Type, Compatibility, and Script fields are prepopulated. Optionally, click Upload to upload a script and have the script text appear in the Script text box.
  4. Edit the script text as required, and then click Save.

Delete a pre-script or post-script

To delete a script that is not associated with an asset group or protection policy, perform the following steps.

  1. In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, select Protection > Scripts.

    The Scripts page appears.

  2. Select the script name, and then click Delete.
NOTE: If all pre-scripts and post-scripts are deleted, the Total field might show a value of 1 instead of 0.

Download a pre-script or post-script copy

To download a copy of a script to the local host, perform the following steps.

  1. In the PowerProtect Data Manager UI, select Protection > Scripts.
