Performing application restores after bare-metal recovery
Some applications are not recovered by BMR.
When you back up BMR data, the backups include binaries for applications that use Windows services, such as Microsoft SQL. However, the backups exclude binaries for applications that do not use Windows services, as well as their configuration, databases, and files.
You need to reinstall the following applications and their data, or restore them from a File System agent backup:
- Applications that do not use Windows services.
- Applications installed to a noncritical volume that has been destroyed.
To restore application data, use the relevant application agent backup.
