Prerequisites

  1. Remove the base cover.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Remove the solid-state drive.
  4. Remove the wireless card.
  5. Remove the fan.
    NOTE Remove the heat sink from the system board only when you want to replace the system board. To replace the keyboard, power button with fingerprint reader, and palm-rest and antenna assembly, remove the system board assembly along with the heat sink.
  6. Remove the heat sink.
