Removing the fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Enter Service Mode.
- Remove the base cover.

Steps
- Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
- Remove the two (M2x3) screws that secure the fan to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the fan off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
