Permalinks

Share an InsightIQ report by using a permalink.

A permalink is a permanent link to an InsightIQ report. The permalink allows you to save or share an InsightIQ report with a specific configuration.

When you create a permalink, InsightIQ creates and displays a URL that represents a shortcut to the configured report. You can then use this URL at any time to view this report configuration.

For example, you want to share a report about the external network throughput of Node 5 from 11:20am to 12:20pm on February 15, 2001. You create the report and then create a permalink of the report to send to other InsightIQ users so they can view the information.

NOTE: When you use a permalink to access a report, any report that contains high-resolution data will degrade over time due to the InsightIQ data-retention and downsampling policies.
