Removing the GPU Board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer
  2. Remove:
    1. Battery

    2. Hard Drive

    3. Optical Drive

    4. Bottom Cover

    5. Docking Board

  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the GPU socket to the computer [1].
    2. Lift GPU socket from the board [2].
    3. Remove the screws that secure the pull tab to the GPU board [3].
    4. Lift the GPU board from the computer [4].
