Installing optional I/O module
Prerequisites
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the optional I/O module and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Using a screwdriver, remove the bracket covering the I/O module slot.
NOTE:This step is only for systems that are being upgraded with the I/O module for the first time.
- Connect the I/O-module cable to the connector on the system board.
- Insert the optional I/O module into its slot on the chassis.
- Secure the two
(M3x3) screws to secure the I/O module to the chassis.
NOTE:For a VGA module, the screws are attached to the connector.

- Install the fan assembly.
- Install the side cover.
