Installing the SD-card reader
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the SD-card reader and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Place and align the screw holes on the SD-card reader to the screw holes on the chassis.
- Connect the SD-card reader to the connector on the system board.
- Replace the two screws (M3x5) that secure the SD-card bracket to the system board and the chassis.
- Route the power-supply cables through the routing guides on the SD-card reader bracket.

- Install the hard-drive and optical-drive cage.
- Install the 3.5-inch hard-drive.
- Install the 2.5-inch hard-drive.
- Install the front bezel.
- Install the side cover.
