Setting up the PostgreSQL user on Linux

Before starting a new installation of Unisphere for PowerMax on Linux, the PostgreSQL user (postgres) and group (postgres), must be present. Also, the user must be a member of the postgres group.

Use the following commands to create the postgres group and add the postgres user to the postgres group: 
groupadd postgres
useradd -g postgres postgres
