Installing the fan
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the fan and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Place the fan in the slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Align the screw holes on the fan to the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Replace the two screws (M2x5) to secure the fan to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Connect the fan cable to the connector on the system board.
