Removing the hard drive

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the SD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Disconnect the battery cable.
  5. Remove the hard drive assembly.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the interposer from the hard drive assembly.

  2. Remove the four screws (M3x3) that secure the hard drive bracket to the hard drive [1].
  3. Lift the hard drive bracket off the hard drive [2].
