Avamar: There is a problem with the configuration of the local RabbitMQ broker.

Symptoms

The Management Console Server (MCS) UI reports the following RabbitMQ error every 5 minutes:

There is a problem with the configuration of the local RabbitMQ broker. 
 

The log (/data01/avamar/var/rabbitmq/log/rabbit@localhost.log) reports Unauthorized, which means that there is a permission issue with the RabbitMQ guest account:

Restarting the rabbitmqctl-server does not resolve the issue.

Cause

There is an issue with the privilege or permissions of the RabbitMQ guest account. 

Resolution

1. Log in to Avamar Utility Node as admin.

2. Elevate to root.

3. Restart the messaging service using the commands below:

msgbrokerctl.pl --stop 
msgbrokerctl.pl --start 
 

During the startup, the output shows that the account permissions and passwords are being addressed:

INFO: Starting messaging service.
INFO: Started messaging service.
INFO: Create the rabbitmq user Avamar successfully.
INFO: Change password and degrade the permission for rabbitmq guest user successfully.
INFO: Create the vhost for proxy deploy manager successfully.
INFO: Add the permission for user Avamar successfully.
 

4. Acknowledge the events in the UI related to RabbitMQ.

5. Monitor the grid to confirm that the issue is resolved.
