Cause
This issue occurred to the VM which has XFS file systems.
Search logs indicated reads to the Data Domain were sometimes slow.
PowerProtect Data Manager determines a stuck extraction process by looking at the last modification time of a SQLite file. Every certain number of Database insertions or processing of some XFS nodes force an update of the SQLite file. If read operations are slow, there may not be enough operations to trigger an update.
Symptoms found in the logs: Indexing jobs of VMS which have XFS file systems were shown as failed.
